Briefly

Currently, I teach 4D BIM, as well as related disciplines such as Fundamentals of organization and management in construction, Project Management, at Peter the Great Saint Petersburg Polytechnic University. I lived in Austria for six months and worked at the Technical University of Graz (TU GRAZ), where also worked on the implementation of 4D BIM. I have also lectured at the Technical University of Porto and the Polytechnic University of Milan. Master’s theses, which were defensed under my supervision, are applied in nature, scientific solutions are implemented in a number of construction companies with using Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Synchro, Dynamo, Grasshopper, Rhinoceros. Also I visited the largest construction projects in Europe, including the construction of CityLife in Milan and Infineon Villach – the biggest microchip manufacturing plant in Austria, where I studied approaches to 4D construction. I was trained 4D planning with Synchro in the London office of Bentley company. I have Bentley Academy certificates of passing Synchro Training exams at the basic and advanced level. Participant in the meetings of the Open Expert Group of the Public Council under the Ministry of Construction of Russia and the Commission on the implementation of the implementation of information modeling technology at all stages of the life cycle of capital construction projects. Member of the Transnational Alliancing Group (King’s College London), working on adaptation FAC-1 (Framework Alliance Contract). Today I’m acting as 4D BIM implementation consultant for Russian and foreign companies.

Competences

Graduated from Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering as a specialist engineer. In 2015 got PhD degree in the field of “Technology and organization of construction”. I’m a current cadastral engineer since 2012, so I understand the need to introduce a 3D cadastre and create digital twins of cities. I have more than 40 scientific publications, including in foreign journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, 4 tutorials, h-index: 7. Guest speaker at international conferences held in the UK, Austria, Portugal, Russia.

  • simulation of the construction of a facility in Vienna, Austria with the participation of Russian and Austrian students and engineers (about 50 people) on the BIM 360 platform with 4D and 5D BIM technology, with the separation of project participants by roles (architects, engineers) and the establishment of appropriate competencies, initiator and project manager

Hobbies and personal information

I play the piano, but I like to strum and sing the guitar and ukulele more. I study Spanish. Ashtanga yoga student, go to yoga tours to different parts of the world, from time to time I paint pictures with a palette knife.

Mikhail Mushurov

In short

BIM/VDC Specialist in Nika Project Management Consultant Company. For the last 5 years, I have been living in the heart of Turkey – Istanbul. During this period, I earned 3-year experience in Building Information Modelling (Revit), Visual Programming (Dynamo), BIM Management (various CDE solutions, develop BIM workflows and guides, productivity and clash reporting, etc.), planning and VDC (Synchro PRO). Currently, we are providing consultancy in terms of BIM and Project Management using combination of wide-range high-end softwares within Turkey as well as on the international arena. Our experience includes infrastructural (underground and highway), large civil and manufacture projects.

Background

Graduated Voronezh State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering with double-degree in fields of “Civil and Industrial Engineering” and “Professional Communication Interpreter/Translator – English”. Then completed Master’s Degree in field of Civil Engineering at Yildiz Technical University. Fluent in English and Turkish foreign languages. During my academic carrier and afterwards I am actively working and developing sharp vision in scope of IPD/BIM/VDC application.
